Xin Zheng came from a TCM Gynecologist family, received her medical degree and Ph.D from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, one of the top five TCM university in China, and Masters degree in Acupuncture from the Acupuncture institute of China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the leading TCM institution in China.
After being trained in both oriental and western medicine. She went on to complete 3 years of residency in Beijing Acupuncture institute and 1 years of specialist training in neurology at Beijing Youyi hospital (affiliated hospital of Beijing Medical University). From 1991 to 1994, she practiced acupuncture and Chinese Herbology as an attending physician and completed acupuncture anaesthesia research at the Acupuncture Institute in Beijing. , 1995-1996 she went UK for postdoctoral research
Shortly after she came to the U.S. in 1996, she began teaching acupuncture and Chinese Medicine as a professor at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, New York college of Chinese Medicine, Eastern school of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine. She also practice acupuncture and herbology in New York and New Jersey.
